Altschiller was the prime sponsor of legislation aimed at forcing children to attend public school for a year before they are able to receive Education Freedom Account funding. Thankfully SB141 was defeated in the Senate on 3/9/23. She had this to say about parents who choose private or homeschooling for their kids, calling these educational options as “silos” of “indoctrination” with a lack of government oversight.
Politics aside, it isn’t anyone’s business to interject themselves into a family unit who are trying to find the right educational fit for their children. If public schools were doing well in and around Stratham, homeschooling and other educational institutions wouldn’t be seeing the increase they have been. More and more parents are seeking educational alternatives to a school system that they see is lacking, or simply not working for their kids. These parents should be lauded for being involved in their children’s education, not vilified. The EFA program helps those who need it the most, families within a limited income range.

Of course, teacher’s unions and public school administrators don’t do anything like indoctrination of children to their socialistic/Communistic views, LOL.
Why does the Senator choose to move her child to a private school which she labeled as a silo of education without governmental oversight, Exeter Academy?
Because she obviously can afford it as a stepping stone to success in her Woke worldview.
