May Meeting: Michael Houghton, Chairman of the Stratham Select Board & Janan Archibald, Vice Chair of the RCRC

Just a reminder for our next meeting that is quickly approaching, Tuesday May 21st, 6:30 PM at the Wiggin Memorial Library.  Our agenda for our next meeting is as follows:

Chairman of the Stratham Select Board, Michael Houghton.  

Mike Houghton, a native of Manchester, NH, is a seasoned business leader with a diverse background in manufacturing and service industries. He graduated from Southern NH University with a degree in Business and began his career in the business forms manufacturing industry with Royal Business Forms in Nashua, NH.

With a strong foundation in business operations, Mike transitioned to Georgia Pacific Corporation in Atlanta, GA, where he spent two decades ascending the ranks and eventually leading the Paper Business Unit. His strategic vision and leadership were instrumental in driving growth and innovation within the company.

In 2005, Mike seized an entrepreneurial opportunity and purchased Dowling Corporation, a prominent HVAC service company based in Hampton, NH. For the past 19 years, he has successfully operated and expanded the business, earning a reputation for excellence in service and customer satisfaction.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mike is deeply involved in community service and governance. He has dedicated 15 years to the Stratham Planning Board, served on the Heritage Commission for 7 years, and held the position of Chair of the Selectboard for 7 years, where he demonstrated effective leadership and stewardship of public resources.

Outside of work and public service, Mike finds joy in his family life. He is happily married to Debbie and proud father to two children, Jennifer and Ryan. He cherishes spending time with his three grandchildren and values family above all else

Vice Chair of the Rockingham County Republican Committee, Janan Archibald.

Janan Archibald is the Rockingham County Republican Committee Vice Chair.  The Rockingham County Republican Committee actively promotes the founding American principles of Individual Liberty, Efficient Government and Creating Opportunities for all. The Committee represents the 37 communities of Rockingham County. The Committee is focused on local, county and state political initiatives.

Janan will provide us with an update on what is going on at the County Committee and what they are working on.
